Özet
With the development of digital technology, the potential of landscape architects to analyse landscape compositions and their spatial- visual properties is increasing day by day. Although it is obvious how beneficial the use of digital methods in the landscape architecture design process is, in practice this potential is still not used sufficiently in the spatial design process. In order to break down the barriers to the use of digital methods in landscape design practice, the contribution of such digital methods to the landscape design process should be revealed. Space syntax is one of the digital methods that has not found enough space in the discipline of landscape architecture. The space syntax method assumes that an urban area can be represented as a matrix of connected spaces. The quantitative properties of this matrix in the form of syntactic measures can be measured using computer simulations. In this study, the use of space syntax in landscape architecture is tried to be explained.
