Özet

Renewable energy technologies and energy management systems are rapidly developing topics of the urbanism agenda. Ensuring the integration of renewable energy sources with the city and managing them on a common plane with conventional sources is an important strategy that has started to be implemented in recent years. Maximum benefit from renewable energy sources at the optimum application field is an inevitable requirement for effective energy management in cities. The aim of this study is to create the spatially optimal evaluation base in a particular region in order to meet this requirement. Balikesir has been designated as an evaluation area due to its renewable energy potentials. As a result of the analysis, the most efficient application zones are identified and evaluated within the framework of urban planning principles and practices.
