Classification of various crops with CNN deep learning model

Economic, agricultural, political, and environmental gains can be achieved by defining agricultural products in a timely and accurate manner. The correct planting of agricultural products is vital for irrigation planning and management. Manually planting agricultural products and placing them correctly in relation to agricultural areas requires a great deal of time and is often tedious. To prevent this problem, artificial intelligence supported systems have been used today and effective results have been obtained. For this reason, in this study, images of crops were classified using deep learning and a preliminary study was prepared for computer-aided systems. The study consisted of four stages. In the first stage, images of the crops were obtained. In the second stage, the images were normalized and augmented. In the third stage, the CNN deep learning model was designed, and the images were classified. In the last stage, the performance of the deep learning model was evaluated, and the accuracy score was used for this. At the end of the study, an accuracy score of 82.85% was obtained with the CNN. With this study, it has been shown that artificial intelligence supported applications are effective in determining agricultural products.
