More visitors have recently attended local and national events. The majority of visits consist of private, unique interactions, and amusement. Events not only provide social, cultural, and economic benefits to local residents and domestic and international travelers, but also enhance the image of the destination by increasing tourism. However, inadequate event management and marketing might damage your brand. As long as the events are successful, they can offer the destination an edge in the national and international tourism markets. Events can extend the tourist season, increase the variety of marketable tourism products, and encourage people from around the globe to visit a location. Local administrations and visitors appreciate the fact that a regional event stimulates tourism and regional development. The events attract tourists, advertise the location, and strengthen the destination’s brand. In this study, the Kirkpinar Oil Wrestling Festival, which has been held in Edirne for 661 years, will be transformed into the image of the province of Edirne, and its contributions and concepts will be presented. Numerous national and international events have made Edirne a destination for tourists. The Kirkpinar Oil Wrestling Festival is the greatest entertainment and sports festival in Southeast Europe and the Balkans. According to the study, the Kirkpinar Oil Wrestling in Edirne province will influence the destination’s image.
