Özet
Concrete is the most widely used building material. Determining the dielectric properties of concrete is important since it is possible to comment on its mechanical properties by determining the dielectric properties of concrete. Dielectric constants can be determined thanks to the scattering parameters obtained at microwave frequencies using the free space technique. The reflection and transmission parameters of a cube-shaped concrete sample are measured by the free space method using the Vivaldi antenna array. The scattering parameters obtained from the finite difference time domain (FDTD) numerical method, which is commonly used to model electromagnetic wave propagation, are compared with the scattering parameters obtained from measurements and it is observed that both methods give effective results.
