Özet
The study analyzed the site selection suitability and capacity of temporary housing areas (THAs) in Kirklareli province. Firstly, 21 THAs were evaluated based on 27 site selection suitability criteria, including user comfort, exposure to secondary disasters, economic costs, and ecological sensitivity. Secondly, capacity suitability was analyzed in the context of existing populations and projection year populations. As a result, it was determined that 18 out of 21 THAs did not fulfill the adequate spatial suitability requirements. As a result of the capacity assessments, it was determined that the areas identified do not meet the 45 m2 per capita standard specified in the literature, and it is much below this value with approximately 15 m2 per capita for the projection year.
